As things begin to settle down here in Hanmer Springs, New Zealand - I have begun to find myself with time to start thinking about updating my ART.undefined. The time has come to start tweaking my porfolios again here in order to refresh what I have posted with the most current and best pieces.
For those of you who may be keen in using my services with regards to photography, jewellery and/or painting, please contact me with your request/idea and I will be able to formulate a suitable rate for the project. At this point in time I am looking to get more experience within the buisness of the art industry, so nearly any project would be considered.
At this point in time I am currently putting together an array of photographs to be showcased at Lululemon's newest store in Queenstown, New Zealand and I can't wait for the finished product! Not only that, but I will also be doing some work around Hanmer Springs with some local buisnesses looking to update their websites and brochures with new photographs.

Broome's Best

So it's been a while and I figured it is time to FINALLY update this art site. First off, since I have last written, I have made it to Australia and currently I am finishing up the last few months of my holiday working visa in Broome, WA where I am working to save money to go to New Zealand.

With my trip to New Zealand, I will be trekking the Te Araroa Trail and, in doing so, am trying to raise money for the Indigo Foundation. As I won't be starting this trek until October 15, 2010, I have come up with some other ways to raise money for Indigo Foundation including selling my jewellery.

On another note - it is time to revamp this art site to make it more user-friendly and pleasing to the eye. Stay tuned as I try my best to update this site as quickly as possible as there is so much more to come!

i am now currently into my third month of travels and as i make my way down the west coast of the USA i find it bitter sweet. i never realized how difficult it would be to leave home where all my tools for art are now securely packed away. as i pass an endless array of jewellery stands, painting studios and so much more i am overcome with so many ideas that my mind is full of all i want to do. fortunately, i still have my camera with me and as i go i hope to be posting some of my favorite photos under my "world travels" portfolio.

it is such a neat thing to be able to have the freedom to explore the world for what it is
- skip the tourist hot spots and take in all the real experiences each location has to offer. now, dont get me wrong, there isnt anything wrong with doing the tourist things - i just find that a lot of times the culture, people, colors and ideas are so much richer in the areas where the locals "hang."

i am close to making it to australia, where i hope to spend more time settling in and even getting a job or two. i hope that when i get there and am able to put my feet up for a while that it will open up the opportunities for me to explore my art a bit more freely rather than trying to cram all the inspiration in my mind and hope for the best that it will still be there when i return home.

world travels

as i prepare the final items for my journey to travel the world, i feel as though it is time to update my site here and inform everyone that from this point on it will be difficult to put through any orders for my pieces. that being said, i still welcome anyone who is interested in my art to email me their request as i may still be able to arrange purchases while i am away. i apologize for any inconvienence that this causes.

that being said, i haven't left town - YET. i will be having a final garage sale to sell the rest of the possessions i have and my art will be up for sale at this time as well. for those of you who are interested in purchasing my art before i leave, this will be the best opportunity to do that before i go.
the sale will be held on june 27 and 28 (9-6pm). please email me for the address and/or directions.

garage & art sale

so - for those of you who came out to support me in my event of selling pretty much everything i own - i thank you. the garage sale was a huge success this past weekend (may 29 & 30) and i was able to sell some of my art pieces. i thank everyone for their support in this as all the money i made will be able to help me in reaching my goal of travelling.

that being said, there are still quite a few things available for purchase before i leave (art and otherwise). as such i will be hosting another garage & art sale this upcoming weekend of june 6 & 7 (9-6pm). please contact me

i feel it necessary to update everyone in stating that, firstly, i will be leaving in a short while to go travelling. as such, you will note that my online store will become unaccessable due to me being unable to keep up with demands while seeing the world. i will keep my online store open until the end of june - at which point if any of you are interested in my art pieces for purchase, please contact me via email and i will see if there is anyway to fulfill your wishes while i am out of town. that being said, once i am back, i will re-open my online store for access to my art. i do apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.

as well - in preparation of my leave - i have scheduled a sale for my art for may 30 and 31. it will be combined with a garage sale as i cannot afford to store all my possessions while i am away. as such, my art will be for sale should anyone be interested in purchasing it in person (skips the shipping costs that you would find online). this sale will be in calgary, AB. if you think this might be something you are wanting to come to, please email me for the specific address and/or directions.

outside of all of this, i have created some new jewellery pieces that you will be able to view in their portfolios. they will also be pieces available for purchase on my online store (while it is still open). that being said, please be patient with my uploading of items on my online store as it is time-consuming and time is something that i fear i do not have much of as i am preparing to leave. if there is a piece of art you are interested in but can not find it in my online store - please contact me via email to inquire about it.

okay. as it stands i have officially created a separate site for those of you who are interested in purchasing my art. currently i have it set up so that all of my paintings from each of the painting portfolios are accessible to be purchased.

in the near future i hope to be updating it as quickly as possible to add my jewellery and photography pieces to it as well. if, in the meantime, you are wanting to purchase somethin that i do not have posted - please send me an email and we can do the transaction that way.

as far as the online store goes, you will notice that i have continued to arrange all of my pieces according to their portfolio titles. so long as you know which portfolio the piece came from, you will be able to access it just as easily from my online store.

with regards to this site, i have temporarily updated it to include links to go buy my art on each this home page (you will notice the link to the right) and on each of the portfolio sites. as i have stated though, there will be links to the online stores on the jewellery and photography portfolios even though there are none of those pieces currently present in the store. i have done all of this temporarily in hopes to encourage you to check out the online store, but i will be changing this to make my website more asthetically sound. as such, the link will be posted on the top and bottom of each page, listed as "online store." i welcome any feedback that you may have on any of this.

well - as it stands, i have made a few updates to my site (yet again) -- i have created a new portfolio under the photography section called, human impact. it's a portfolio that contains photographs related to how society on a whole affects the environment.

new york

well. i made it to new york and back and the entire trip was simply a blast. i saw so much stuff there - most of it the classic tourist spots - but i also was able to find my way through the maze of underground subway tunnels to make it over to queens where the art exhibition was. it was super cool to get to go and see my art - here are some pictures regarding the event:

well - thats bout it - (note that my art was in the last picture here). i think the number one thing i learned (besides the fact that new yorkers do not know how to give directions) was that i dont know how to price my art. i completely underpriced my work, which was a disappointment on one level, but on another i figure that will just mean my stuff will sell quicker - which, in the long run - will get my name out there faster. at least i now know that whatever i think the price should be - i should pretty much times that by 10 to get the amount that i should be selling it at - particularly when at an event such as this one.

needless to say, i really have enjoyed doing my art on vinyl and i think that is something of a theme that i will continue with in my personal art. by being at the gallery exhibition i got a ton of really neat ideas that i would like to try - so continue on checking back as i am sure i will have new pieces posted up soon.

on another note, it has been made aware to me that when a person attempts to subscribe to my site, they are unable to do it so that my updates are going to their email. i have recently fixed that and, as you will notice, i have created a "subcribe via email" link to the right of this post of which you may enter in your email address and get my site updates sent you to your email. thank you again for all your support and i look forward to hearing from anyone that has a comment regarding my work - please sign the guestbook when you get a chance! thanks!!

so i have been working hard the last couple weeks to bring my site up to date as much as possible. in looking through my portfolios you will note that there is a lot of new pieces that i have added... particularly when it comes to the following:

each of these profiles have been updated with new and fresh pieces that i have created. that being said, this site is no where near done (and probably will never be) as i have some more things i will be posting in the jewelery portfolios. i also will be adding a porfolio in the near future for those photography pictures i have taken of others in photo shoots. on top of this, i am working on creating a collection of rings that will become part of their own portfolio - so, all in all, continue to check back as new things will constantly be added to my site.

you might also notice, that i have updated a link at the bottom of this page of which you are now able to subscribe to art.undefined. this allows you to be updated on the changes i make to this site as i create more posts to inform you all of what has been going on in my world of creativity. please feel free to subscribe to my site and also drop me a line in my guestbook and tell me what you think of things and if you have any recommendations for changes.

the chosen five

well - this is the time - i have FINALLY chosen five art pieces from my Off the Record portfolio to enter into the exhbition for APW Gallery. the following are the pieces i will be sending off to New York.

as i have said - all of these pieces can be viewed in my portfolio titled: Off the Record. i can't wait to finally be able to send all these in and see what happens at the gallery.

well. it's hard to believe how fast time has flown. i still have a couple weeks left until the exhibition in New York, yet i feel as though my time has run short. i never really realized how hard it would be to create 5 works of art in such a short time. i suppose half the issue is the simple fact that this would be my first exhibition (and it's not even a solo) and i find it incredibly intimidating to figure out what would be deemed "appropriate" art. *sigh* i only hope that i am not alone with these emotions.

anyway - as it is - i have now posted all my pieces that i currently have, including the jewelry. i hope you all enjoy looking at it and please let me know if you are interested in showing and/or buying anything (email only please). i have also officially created a link to access my guestpage. please send a note to tell me what you thought of my work/sited..... questions can also be posted here too.

for the future

okay. i wish i could say that i have "officially" updated my blog site - but the truth is - it is entirely a work in progress. you will note that there are two portfolios that i still need to update and i thank you for your patience on this. as it stands i also hope to one day begin portfolios for my work in jewellry making. one day.

with this exhibition coming up with APW Gallery in New York, you will find that i will be updating the one portfolio, "off the record" rather quickly here as i need that work done for may 1. once that exhibition is done i will be posting my expierences with regards to this as it is my first exhibition that i have participated in. what can i say? i'm definitly excited for the occassion. i only hope that out of the many 12" records i am doing that i will be able to decide on 5 to submit to APW Gallery.

as i have said before, i thank everyone for their support with my work and i hope that the future will bring many more exhibitions and other such projects for me to continue to develop and challenge my artistic abilities.

well. as it stands i am currently re-formatting, updating and revising my blog site here. i have recently been invited to participate in a world-wide exhibition in new york, USA and i am rather excited to have been offered such an opportunity. check it out at: APW Gallery. the exhibition is titled "art on record." it is something of which i have always dreamed to be a part of and will be the closest thing to a solo exhibition that i will be a part of yet. i hope it will open doors to other possibilities with my art and i thank everyone who has supported me in my journey to share my art with others. that being said, i really need to get this blog site up to speed with all my current work that i have yet to post up in portfolios.
